A young and enthusiastic coach, Jenna Panatier is in her fourth year at the helm of the Colgate University volleyball program. In 2005, Panatier is continuing to guide the Raiders through the rebuilding process. With a strong corps of incoming players, Panatier believes that Colgate has a chance to vie for a spot in the Patriot League Tournament.

Last season, Colgate battled the ups and downs of an injury-filled year and roster that featured just two seniors. Senior Natalie Rawson earned Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year honors and also broke her own single-season digs record she established in 2003.

In 2003 Colgate doubled its win total from the previous year and ended the campaign with two straight upset victories against Navy and Bucknell to finish in a tie for fifth place in the Patriot League.

Panatier came to Colgate from Occidental College where she served as the head volleyball coach from 1998 to 2002. At Occidental, Panatier doubled the membership of the team, transformed a 2-20 record into a 16-9 mark, successfully recruited an All-American and four all-conference players. She also instituted and maintained a bridge of communication between the current volleyball program and its alumnae.

Panatier also served as the school's sports information director, handling the media relations duties for Occidental's 19 varsity sports.

In addition, Panatier served as a volleyball coach for Thunder Volleyball Club in Reseda, Calif., as well as the head coach of the men's club volleyball team at Occidental.

Panatier was a four-year member of the St. John’s University volleyball team and served as captain during the 1996 and 1997 seasons. She was named team MVP in 1995 and won St. John's Outstanding Woman in Sports Award in 1998. A true student-athlete, she was honored for her classroom work as well, garnering Academic All-America accolades three straight years (1996-98), as well as being named to the BIG EAST Conference Academic All-Star Team all four years (1995-98).

The Van Nuys, Calif., native graduated from St. John's University with a bachelor’s degree in sports management and business in 1998.

Panatier resides in Hamilton, N.Y.
