Over the years, intramural sports participation has offered an opportunity for promoting and enhancing the sense of community within the University. The objectives are many: to provide physical outlets designed to balance a variety of stresses associated with a highly competitive academic environment, to appeal to one's desire to compete athletically, to promote positive group dynamics amongst and within teams and to both strengthen current friendships and to foster new ones.
