November 23, 2002
The Colgate Men's Cross Country team
ran as well as it has all season by placing three runners in the top 12
overall at the IC4A Championships this Saturday. Leading the team
and finishing first place overall was junior Xavier de Boissezon who
covered the 8k course in a time of 25:40, winning the race by twelve
seconds over the second place finisher. Coming in next for the
Raiders was junior Louis DiNuzzo who finished 7th overall in a time of
26:12. First-year Jake Krong had yet another solid race finishing
third for the team and 12th overall. Rounding out the top five for
the Raiders was junior Travis Brooks coming in 34th overall and junior
Kyle Barrett coming in 40th overall. As a team the Raiders scored 77
points, the only team to better that score was Princeton with 61.
The race completed the season for the team, as the NCAA Championships take
place on Monday.
