Men Compete in NCAA Regional Cross Country
Championships November 16, 2002
New York, NY - The Men's Cross Country team
sent its top six runners to New York for the NCAA Regional Qualifier.
The meet was composed of 33 teams from around the Northeast region.
Finishing first for the Raiders was
junior Louis DiNuzzo, who covered the 8k course in 32:21, and 49th place
overall. Finishing second for the Raiders was junior Xavier de
Boissezon in 32:41 and 64th place. First-year Jake Krong finished
third in 82nd place, while juniors Travis Brooks and Kyle Barrett placed
146th and 156th respectively to round out the five scorers for the
Raiders. As a team the Raiders came in 19th out
of the 33 teams. The meet was won by Iona College with a score of
59, just edging out runner-up Providence by two points, while Dartmouth
came in third with 95 points. The Raiders next travel to Van Cortland Park, NY to compete in the IC4A Championships.
