Places Fifth At Murray Keatinge Invitational Several Raiders also run in Oneonta 4-mile race FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Julie Greco PHONE: (315) 228-7860 October 5, 2002 ORONO, MAINE– The Colgate University men’s cross country team finished in fifth place at the Murray Keatinge Invitational in a seven-team meet at the University of Maine on Saturday afternoon. Several Raiders also made the trip to Oneonta, N.Y., to race in the 4-mile Oneonta State Invitational. Senior Louis Di Nuzzo (Loundonville, N.Y.) was Colgate’s top finisher at the Murray Keatinge with a 10th place finish, running the course in 26:01.59. Freshman Sean Curran (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) followed with at time of 26:47.52 to take 25th place. Jake Krong (43rd), Kyle Barrett (49th), Jon Barinholtz (50th), Greg Smith (63rd) and Andrew Middleton (65th) rounded out the field of Raider runners. Colgate placed second at the Oneonta State Invitational with two Raiders placing in the top 10 of the 43 runner event. Senior Kevin Meehan (Bay Shore, N.Y.) took third place with a time of 22:57 while freshman Nate Rosenthal (West Hartford, Conn.) turned in a time of 23:25 to take ninth. Sophomore Jeremy Wattles and freshman Adam Forman took 13th and 16th place, respectively while freshman Pat McDermott finished in 33rd place. The Raiders are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 19 when they travel to SUNY Albany. Start time is 11 a.m. Colgate Runners- Murray Keatinge
