Louis Di Nuzzo Named Patriot League and ECAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Junior captures both honors for record breaking performance in 5,000 meter run.

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Colgate junior Louis Di Nuzzo (Loudonville, N.Y., Shaker High School) was named the Patriot League Men’s Track Athlete of the Week as well as the ECAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week after an outstanding performance in the 5,000 meter run at Northeastern’s Husky Invitational this past weekend. The multi-team meet included the Raiders, the host Huskies, Syracuse, Yale, Boston College, New Hampshire, Maine, Hartford and Quinnipiac. 

Di Nuzzo, who garnered Patriot League Cross Country Runner of the Week accolades once in the fall, wins the ECAC award for the first time this season. He ran the event in a time of 14:43.74 which was a meet record, qualified him for the IC4A Championship and was the second-best time in Colgate history. 

Di Nuzzo and the Raiders are back in action this weekend as they travel to New York City for the Millrose Games on Friday and then return to Hamilton for the Class of ’32 Invitational which will be held on the Colgate campus.
