HAMILTON, N.Y. – Six Raiders were named to the All-Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Team as announced by league officials on Friday. The teams are chosen based upon the student-athletes performance at the 2003 Patriot League Outdoor Championships held May 2-3 at Bucknell University. The winners and runners-up of each event earn all-star status.

Senior Tyrone Russell (Ithaca, N.Y.), who received track athlete of the meet honors, garnered all-league honors for the fourth straight year. Russell won the gold medal in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.465, edging out Bucknell's Noel Powell by .001 ticks. Russell also placed first in the 400-meter dash and was a member of Colgate’s first-place 4x400 relay team.

Senior Eric Hiller (Elizabethtown, Pa.) wins all-league honors for the first time for his role in Colgate’s first-place 4x400 relay team and for his second place finish in the 400-meter dash.

Senior Marion Smith (Syracuse, N.Y.) and sophomore Rob VanDine (Binghamton, N.Y.) also took all-league honors for the first time for their performances in Colgate’s first-place 4x400 relay team at the Championships.

Juniors Waldemar Auguscinski (Passaic, N.J.) and Xavier deBoissezon (Geneva, Switzerland) each took all-league honors for the first time in their careers with Auguscinski taking first-place in the shot put and deBoissezon placing first in the 10,000-meter run.
