HAMILTON, N.Y. – Senior Chris Sweetland (Lansing, Mich.) has been named to the second team on the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District I Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors Association.

Sweetland, a distance runner, graduated in May with a degree in economics and cumulative GPA of 3.75.

Sweetland was a captain of this years Raider squad who had the highest GPA of all NCAA Division I cross country programs.  He has been named to the Patriot League Honor Roll throughout his career as well as the 1999 all-academic team.
