MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD TEAM FINISHES
COMPETITION AT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS May 4, 2002 BETHLEHEM, PA. - The Colgate men's track and field team finished eighth at the Patriot League outdoor championships with 30 points scored. Army won the title with 216 points. Tyrone Russell (Ithaca, N.Y.) was the top finisher for the Raiders with a first place finish in the 400 meter dash in 48.17 and a second place finish in the 200 in 21.69. Eric Hiller (Sudlbury, Mass.) took third in the 400 with a time of 48.52 and seventh in the 200 in 22.65. Barry Jones (Ontario, Can.) finished fourth overall in the long jump competition with a leap of 43" 5 3/4". In the 5000 meter run, Louie DiNuzzo (Loundonville, N.Y.) took 13th (15:30.94) and Jeremy Wattles (Clay, N.Y.) took 21st (16:31.46). Kyle Barrett (Troy, N.Y.) finished 19th in the 800 (1:58.07) and Ian Hill (West Hartford, Conn.) took 13th in the 1500 (4:03.72). The 4x400 team took seventh with a time of 3:27.05.
