BETHLEHEM, PA. - The Colgate University men's and women's track teams finished day one of competition at the Patriot League championships on the campus of Lehigh University.

In the long jump, TJ Smith (Syracuse, N.Y.) finished sixth with a jump 20' 10 1/2" while the 4x800 relay also took a sixth place finish in 7:56.90.  Distance specialist Louis DiNuzzo (Loundonville, N.Y.) took seventh in the 10,000 in 32:45.62.

In women's action, the 4x800 relay took second place in 9:17.77.  Freshman Beth Stephenson (Hyannis, Mass.) also took second in the long jump with a leap of 18' 1/2".  Jessica Dunton (Lebanon Springs, N.Y.) placed ninth in the 10,000 with a time of 39:05.83.
