Junior Year (2005):
Went 3-6 in singles and 3-5 in doubles during the fall season
... posted wins over Rob Sutphen (Rhode Island) 8-3, Fernandez-Corcha
(Lehigh) 7-6, 7-5, and Barrett Wolf (Boston University) 6-1, 6-2
... had doubles wins over Brown and Boston College at the Brown
Invitational partnered with Mickey Gallagher ... won an 8-2
doubles match over a Fairfield duo at the Cornell Invitational
in October with Martin MacIntyre ... competed in the ITA
Regionals, falling in singles to Brian Hartness (Boston College)
and losing with Mickey Gallagher in doubles to a duo from Stony
Brook.
Sophomore Year (2004-05):
Innes had
a breakout fall season, securing a spot in the starting lineup
... he posted a 3-4 singles record, competing at No. 5 and No. 6 singles
... after losing three of his first four matches, Innes rebounded to
make the semifinals of the No. 8 flight at the Northeast
Invitational ... along the way he dispatched of two Patriot League
opponents, and also avenged an earlier loss to Army’s Alain Chuntraruk
... he lost a close straight set match to the grizzled
veteran Gerald DiChiara of Bucknell to close out the fall season
... Innes also teamed up with young Tyler Deck at No. 3
doubles ... the duo had a 3-4 record in the fall season, scoring a
key win over Buffalo at the Volkl Invitational.
Freshman Year (2003-04):
Innes saw
limited action his freshman season, winning his only doubles match
against Vermont ... Innes
made great strides during the spring semester to become an important
reserve for Colgate ... he competed in one doubles match for the
Raiders, teaming with ex-high school teammate Marshall Wheeler for an 8-5 victory
at No. 3 doubles against the University of Vermont ... he was honored with the team’s Most Improved
Player Award for 2004.
High School:
Posted a
record of 33-2 over his junior and senior seasons at Green Farms
Academy, playing No. 3 singles .. .was captained the team his senior year with
Colgate teammate Marshall Wheeler ... was a member of the 2001 and 2003
New England Prep School Championship team ... earned FAA all-league
honors all four years. Played in the New England section of USTA
Juniors, attaining a high ranking of 27th in the 18-U.
