CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- The Colgate men's tennis team placed two
players on the All-Patriot League squads on Thursday. The 2002
rookie of the year, Reed Hagmann earned first team honors, while junior
Eric Saccullo was tabbed with second team laurels.
Hagmann earns first
team honors after finishing the season 8-9 in spring match play.
The sophomore finished out the campaign with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Tushar
Garg, a fellow first teamer, and American's number one player.
Hagmann finished 5-2 in the Patriot League during the year.
Saccullo earns Patriot League honors for the third consecutive
season. In 2001-02 he earned first team doubles honors. The
junior finished with a 9-9 spring record and an impressive 20-12 overall
record. Saccullo was 3-3 in Patriot League play and teamed with
freshman Blake Willmarth for a 5-5 spring doubles record.
Colgate finished the regular season fourth in the Patriot League and
dropped a 4-1 decision to American in the first round of the Patriot
League tournament.
