RAIDERS CONCLUDE REGULAR SEASON WITH A WIN OVER BUCKNELL

HAMILTON, NY– The Raider men delivered a strong showing in their final match of the regular season, beating Patriot League foes Bucknell 5-2. 

Colgate won the match on the strength of four singles match victories.  In No.1 singles, Reed Hagmann defeated Nick Denefrio handily, 6-1, 6-1.  In No.2 singles, Eric Saccullo did likewise, downing Todd Jacobs 6-0, 6-3.  Jon Bedard was victorious in his No.4 singles match against Joe Menezes, 6-2, 6-4 the scoreline.  Pete Oman was the fourth Raider to win his singles match, 7-6 (1), 6-2 over Gerald DiChiara.

The Raiders also notched a point by taking two of three doubles matches.  In No.1 doubles, Bedard and Evan Ambrose played out an 8-2 win over Denefrio and DiChiara.  In No.3 doubles it was Oman and Saccullo doing the same, getting past Menezes and Aaron Saperstein 8-4.

Colgate finishes the regular season 10-8 on the year, 3-3 in Patriot League play.

The Raiders will next compete at the Patriot League Tournament, which runs from Friday, April 18th until Saturday, April 19th. The site and the match times are yet to be determined.
