The Colgate men's tennis team suffered their most lopsided
defeat on Friday night, falling 7-0 to the Big Red.
On a
night that yielded few positives for the team, Reed Hagmann and
Eric Saccullo competed well in defeat. Hagmann played a
close match in No.1 singles, suffering a narrow 6-4, 7-6 (5) loss to
Julian Cheng. Saccullo fought hard before falling 6-4, 7-5 to
Scott Paltrowitz in No. 2 singles. Their No.1 doubles pairing also
fell in a tight match, 8-5 the final score line.
The
No. 2 doubles pairing of Jake Heims and Evan Ambrose ended up
losing a tight one 8-6 in another closely contested match.
The result drops the Raiders' to 4-2
on the season.
The
Raiders are also in action of Saturday, February 22nd. They will
play host to the Boston College Eagles at the Eastside Racquet Club in
Manlius, N.Y. The matches are scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m.
