MANLIUS, NY – The Colgate men's tennis team responded to their 6-1 loss to Yale by earning a 6-1 victory of their own while beating the Bloomsburg Huskies on Friday night.  Jake Heims won his No. 3 singles match against Aleks Kalezic 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and also teamed up with Evan Ambrose to defeat Brian Bogus and Kurt Caster in No. 2 doubles, 8-5 the final score. 

Pete Oman also won both his singles and doubles matches.  He defeated Bogus in No. 6 singles 7-6 (5), 6-4, and paired with Jon Bedard topped Mark Velleck and Kalezic 9-8(3).

Also winning their singles matches were Reed Hagmann and Eric Saccullo.  Hagmann was a 6-3, 6-4 victor over Kris Shuway in No. 1 singles while Saccullo defeated Mike McGrath 7-6(5), 6-2 in their No. 2 singles match.

The Colgate men will next take to the courts on Saturday, February 8th when they take on UMBC.  The matches are scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m at the Eastside Racquet Club in Manlius, N.Y.
