RED
RAIDERS EVEN THEIR MARK AGAINST UMASS
Amherst,
Mass. - (2/18) - Once again, the Colgate men's
squad came through in the clutch. Despite facing
double-match point in the all-important deciding
doubles match, the tandem of Davis and Bedard
managed to win the match and get the Red Raiders
off to a flying start. Colgate was bolstered by
the return to singles of Evan Paushter and Owen
Fileti, who both won. Jon Bedard, after splitting
the first two sets, just played a tiebreak for
the 3rd set, because the match was already
decided. Andrew Davis, with his powerful
forehand, forced his opponent to retire from the
match.
