HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Colgate University athletic department has named assistant men's and women's swimming coach Adam Kennedy the interim head coach until the search for a new head coach is complete.

Kennedy, a 2001 graduate of Davidson College in North Carolina, has served as an assistant at Colgate for two years under former head coach Bill Roberts who is now at Navy.  As a Division I swimmer, Kennedy was a member of the team that won its conference championship in 1998.  Prior to that, he was a member of the Tualatin Hills Swim Club in Oregon where he captained his team, qualified for Junior Nationals and was the state champion in four events.

He will now take over all head coaching duties until the new head coach is hired.
