RAIDERS SWEEP NEW HAMPSHIRE AND VERMONT November 16, 2002 Complete Results HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Colgate University men's swim team was victorious against both New Hampshire and Vermont, while the women's team beat Vermont, but fell to New Hampshire. The men beat Vermont by a score of 195-30, and New Hampshire 156-78. The women fell to New Hampshire 143-98, but did win against Vermont by a score of 191-50. The men were led by James Hadley and Rich Derrick who each recorded two first place victories. Derrick was victorious in the 1,000 yard Freestyle and the 500 yard Freestyle, while Hadley won both the 50 yard Freestyle and the 200 yard Butterfly. Other first place finishes for the Raiders were Brett Nichols in the 200 yard IM and Marc Falkner in the 200 yard Breaststroke. The women recorded one first place victory on the day. Meghan Binder won the 200 yard Butterfly. Next up the Raiders will travel to Loyola to swim against Loyola, Marist, and Niagara. |
