Women's Meet Results

 

HAMILTON, NY - The Colgate University men's and women's swim teams fell to Cornell on Saturday 179-108, and 160-139 respectively.

In men's action, freshman Marc Falkner brought home victories in both the 200 breaststroke (2:16.42)  and the 200 IM (2:01.77).  Matt Vuturo took top honors in the 100 breaststroke (59.64) while fellow senior James Hadley captured first in the 100 free (47.79).  Sophomore diver Lane Ellis  also put points on the board for Colgate with a first place finish in 1 meter diving.

On the women's side, Alice Garnett swept the 200 (2:10.34) and 400 IM (4:36.65).  Chrissy Zaika also took home two wins in both the 100 free (54.14) and the 100 butterfly (58.79). Katherine Del Prato won the 200 free( 1:58.04), and senior Meredith Erickson took the 50 free in 24.65.  Jenn Bushy also contributed to the cause diving to a first place finish on the 1 meter board.

The Raiders are back in action at home on Saturday, February 1st against Binghamton University.
