FAIRFIELD, CT  - The Colgate men's soccer team picked up its seventh win of the season on Tuesday with a 2-1 victory over the Pioneers of Sacred Heart.

Colgate scored just seven minutes into the contest on a penalty kick by junior Jon Gelman, his second in as many games.

With twenty minutes to play Sacred Heart picked up an unassisted goal by Franco Caritera, tying the score at one.

Colgate got the game-winner at 85:36 when Peter Bourquin scored off passes from Travis Rains and Brian McDermott.

Shots were even in the match at 12 and Sacred Heart outcornered Colgate 5-2.

Jon Brunell got his third start in goal and made two saves on his way to his second win of the season.

Colgate, now 7-6-3, prepares for a three-game streak of Patriot League games starting this Friday at 7 p.m. at Army.
