HAMILTON, N.Y. - Sophomore Nick Trotta scored the game-winning goal for Army with less than eight minutes to play in the game to give the Black Knights a 2-1 victory over Colgate University.

Junior Tim Gerges scored the lone goal for the Red Raiders in a valiant effort against Army, but the 7-10-1 Colgate squad came up short, and finished their season with a 1-4-1 Patriot League record.

The Red Raiders managed to keep Army scoreless for almost the entire first half, but freshman Tim Crook snuck the ball past Red Raider goalkeeper Jon Brunell with eight seconds left to put the Black Knights up 1-0 at the half.  Gerges tied the game at 52:10, but any hope for a victory was dashed when Trotta shot one into the top right corner to put away the game.

This was the final regular season league game for both teams.  Colgate finishes last in the Patriot League.  Army plays a non-conference game against Fordham on Tuesday, and is still in the hunt for a chance at post-season play.  The Black Knights are currently fifth in the league, and the final league game of the season between fourth place Lehigh and first place Bucknell will determine their final season ranking.
