CENTER VALLEY, Pa.- Colgate junior Joe Parker (Crofton, Md.) and freshman Jason Vasas (Fairport, N.Y.) earned two of the three Patriot League weekly honors Monday.  Parker earned Defensive Player of the Week while Vasas took Rookie of the Week honors.

Parker, a midfielder, earned the defensive award for his face-off effort in an 11-9 win over Lehigh Saturday.  Parker won nine of the 11 face-offs he took.  He also contributed two goals and an assist in the victory.  He currently leads the team in goals (26), assists (16) and points (42).  Parker also leads the team in league contests with 15 goals and six assists.  He has won 28 of the 54 face-offs he has taken this season, posting a 52% record.

Vasas earned the Rookie of the Week for contributing two goals in the Raiders victory over the Mountain Hawks Saturday.  He has scored goals in six of the Raiders 12 games in his rookie season, leading all freshman scorers with 11 goals and four assists.  He has appeared in all 12 Colgate games, earning seven starts.

The Raiders will host Canisius Friday, April 26 at 7:00 for the final home game of the season.
