COLGATE'S LAUB AND TUCKER NAMED TO 
PATRIOT LEAGUE MEN'S LACROSSE ALL-DECADE TEAM 

Bethlehem, Pa. - In celebration of the Patriot League's 10th anniversary, Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich today announced the League's Men's Lacrosse All-Decade Team. The team is composed of 10 student-athletes including a goalkeeper.

Former Colgate University men's lacrosse attackman Derek Laub and defenseman Brett Tucker were named to the Patriot League Men's Lacrosse All-Decade team. 

Laub who is Colgate's all-time career leading scorer with 200 points (120 goals and 80 assists). He registered the second and third-highest single-season point totals in 1993 and 1992, respectively. In 1993 he registered 68 points in 12 games, while in 1992 he posted 63 points, also in 12 appearances. His career goal total (120) ranks second on Colgate's all time list, while his assist total (80) is the third-highest career mark.  Laub was an honorable-mention All-America selection and Patriot League Most Valuable Player in 1993.  He also earned first team All-Patriot league selection in 1992 and 1993.

Tucker was a two-time first team All-Patriot League selection in 1997 and 1998.

Team selection for each of the 20 Patriot League sports was conducted by a committee consisting of head coaches, institutional sports information liaisons and administrative liaisons. Athletes named to the All-Anniversary Team will be honored at a time designated by each recipient's institution and be given their award at that time.

The Patriot League, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary as an all-sports conference, includes Bucknell University, Colgate University, College of the Holy Cross, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy and competes on the NCAA Division I level in 22 sports. The League, which will add American University to full membership in July 2001, has associate members in field hockey, football and men's and women's lacrosse. The associate members include Fairfield, Fordham, Hobart, Towson, Ursinus and Villanova.

The League's members consistently rank among the Top 25 Division I programs in the NCAA Graduation Rates Report and ranks fifth among Division I conferences in total number of sports offered (22), including the second-highest total of women's sports (11).
