COLGATE FALLS TO 18TH-RANKED BUCKNELL, 13-4

Lewisburg, Pa.-- The 18th-ranked Bucknell men's lacrosse team used five-goal second and fourth quarters to defeat Colgate 13-4 in Patriot League action Friday night.

Michael Chang scored four goals on the night including one in the second and fourth helping to spark the Bison run.

The two teams played evenly in the first quarter with Bucknell taking its first lead of the game 2-1 with a goal by Alex Gibson at the 1:00 mark.

However, after the even start it was all Bison in the second blanking Colgate 5-0 to take a 7-1 halftime advantage. Five different Bison recorded markers in the 5-0 run.

Colgate came out strong in the second half with a man-up goal at 14:46 by David Dobbin, but that was as close as the Red Raiders would get on the evening after Chang responded with his third goal of the game at 2:50 of the third. Colgate's Danny Grady cut the lead to 8-3 off an assist from Dobbins with just six seconds remaining in the third.

But once again, the Bucknell offense responded scoring three goals in the first three minutes of the fourth to take a commanding 11-3 lead. Danny Grady registered his second goal of the game scoring the final Colgate marker at 11:25 of the fourth.

The loss dropped Colgate's overall mark to 4-8 and 3-2 in the Patriot League, while Bucknell improved to 6-3 and 3-1.
