As a Freshman (2002-03): Participated in 33 games … Led Colgate's freshmen with four goals … Finished the season with two assists and six points … Netted the overtime game-winner in the longest game in Colgate hockey history, a 4-3 quadruple-overtime victory against Dartmouth in the ECAC quarterfinals on March 14 … Registered a goal in a 3-2 overtime win against St. Lawrence in the first round of the ECAC playoffs on March 8 … Scored a goal against Rensselaer on February 22 … Posted an assist on Colgate's only goal versus Union on January 18 … Scored his first career goal against Holy Cross on December 7 … Recorded his first collegiate point with an assist versus Yale on November 9 … Compiled six penalties for 15 minutes.

Before Colgate: Played for the Strathroy Rockets of the Western Ontario Junior "B" League … Became the fourth Rocket to play for Colgate in six years: Andy McDonald '00, Sean Nolan '01, and Matt Nicholson '04 preceded him as Raiders … Led Strathroy in scoring with 42 goals and 30 assists for 72 points in 53 games … Ranks second on the Rockets' single-season goals list … Joined Nolan as one of only three Rockets to ever score 40 or more goals in a season … Ranks as the highest-scoring 17-year-old in Strathroy's history … Honored as the team's scholastic player of the year and the most sportsmanlike player … Strathroy finished fifth in the WOJHL during his final season … Team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.
