As a Freshman (2002-03): Skated in 28 games … Finished the season with one goal and three assists for four points … Earned an assist against Dartmouth in the ECAC quarterfinals on March 16 … Posted an assist against St. Lawrence in the first round of the ECAC playoffs on March 8 … Recorded his first collegiate assist versus Rensselaer on February 22 … Scored his first career goal in a 5-2 win against Holy Cross on December 7 … Finished the season with five penalties for 10 minutes.

Before Colgate: Played for the Cumberland Grads of the Central Junior Hockey League … During his last season, the Grads finished fourth in the division and lost in the playoffs to current Raider teammate Jon Smyth's Ottawa Jr. Senators … Led Cumberland with 23 goals and 44 assists for 67 points in 43 games … Led the team in scoring during the playoffs … Finished in the top 10 in the CJHL in scoring … Missed one-third of the season due to injury … Previously played for the Carleton Place Kings of the Eastern Ontario Junior Hockey League, Colgate head coach Don Vaughan's former team … Honored as Carleton Place's MVP … Played lacrosse for the Gloucester Griffins box lacrosse junior team in the Ontario Lacrosse Association Junior League … Led the team in scoring during the 2001 season with 34 goals and 35 assists for 69 points in 20 games … Honored as the team's player who best combined scholarship and skill.
