Before Colgate: Played for the Ottawa Jr. Senators of the Central Junior "A" Hockey League … Served as the team's assistant captain … Led the team to the CJHL championship his last season … Ottawa advanced to the Royal Bank Cup semifinals and lost to eventual champion Halifax … Finished his final campaign with 17 goals, 28 assists and 45 points in 50 games … Compiled 109 penalty minutes his last season … Ottawa represented Eastern Canada at the Canadian Junior "A" Championship … Previously played for the Stouffville Spirit of the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League … Was honored as the team's rookie of the year in 2000 and the most improved player in 2001.
