MEN'S HOCKEY ENDS SEASON WITH A 4-1 LOSS TO DARTMOUTH IN FIRST ROUND OF ECAC PLAYOFFS Senior
captain Etienne Morin tied the games played record with 138 career games. Combined with Friday night's
5-4, double overtime win over the Raiders, Dartmouth (14-12-5) won the
best two-of-three series and advances to the ECAC Championship for the
second straight year. The game remained tied through the second period, and Nardella scored what proved to be the gamewinner. After a flurry of action in the crease, Nardella slipped the puck nearside past Cann. Dartmouth's Kent Gillings added an insurance goal with 7:02 left in regulation. When Colgate pulled Cann in favor of the extra skater, Chris Taliercio wrapped it up for Dartmouth with an empty-net goal with 15 seconds to go. For Colgate (13-19-2), Cann
made 33 saves, while Dartmouth's Darren Gastrock stopped 37 shots.
