MEN'S HOCKEY FALLS TO CLARKSON, 2-0

HAMILTON, N.Y.-- Goaltender Mike Walsh stopped 22 shots and recorded his fourth shutout of the season as the Clarkson men's hockey team defeated Colgate 2-0 Friday night at Starr Rink. 

        The Golden Knights improve their record to 13-12-6 overall and 9-5-5 in the ECAC while the Raiders fall to 12-15-2 and 9-8-2 in the conference.

        Chris Line put Clarkson on the board first at 1:17 in the opening period when he took a pass from Kevin O'Flaherty and beat Colgate goalie David Cann over his stick-side shoulder, giving the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead.

        Clarkson extended their lead to 2-0 when Jean Desrochers came away with the puck in front of the net and passed it to Chris Blight, who then jammed the puck into the net at 16:23 in the first period. 

        Neither team could manage much offense after the first period and were a combined zero-for-seven on the power play.  Cann turned away 25 total shots in the contest.
