MEN'S HOCKEY FALLS TO DARTMOUTH, 4-3 IN FINAL SECONDS OF THE GAME

HANOVER, N.H. -- Jamie Herrington scored with 15 seconds remaining in the game to lead the Dartmouth Big Green to a come-from-behind 4-3 victory against the Colgate Raiders in men's hockey action on Saturday night at Thompson Arena.

In a seesaw battle, Colgate (12-14-2, 9-7-2 ECAC) took a 3-2 lead with 3:58 remaining in the game when Darryl McKinnon capitalized on a 2-on-1 and beat Dartmouth netminder Nick Boucher on the stick side.

Dartmouth (12-9-4, 9-5-4 ECAC) responded just 2:12 later when Lee Stempniak chipped a Chris Baldwin feed past Raiders goaltender David Cann, setting up Herrington's heriocs.

The teams skated even in each of the first two periods as Herrington opened the games scoring at the 9:19 mark of the first. He fired a power play shot from the blueline that beat Cann low to the stick side. Baldwin and Chris Taliercio assisted on the goal.

Colgate's Kyle Doyle then evened the score late in the period, scoring on a breakaway. Scooter Smith made it 2-1 Raiders when he beat Boucher through a screen at the 6:47 mark of the second period.

Dartmouth tied the game at 2-2 when Stempniak slipped a Pete Summerfelt rebound into the open net with 1:29 remaining in the second stanza.

Boucher stopped 36 shots for the win while Cann made 38 saves in a losing effort.
