RALLIES RAIDERS TO A 3-3 OT DRAW WITH PRINCETON HAMILTON, N.Y.--P.J. Yedon scored two goals including the game-tying goal at 16:25 in the third period as the Colgate men's hockey team rallied from a 3-1 third period deficit to force a 3-3 tie against Princeton Saturday night at Starr Rink. Colgate picks up three points on the weekend which improves its overall record to 11-13-2 and conference record to 8-6-2 while Princeton is now 7-15-1 overall and 6-9-1. Brad D'Arco pulled the Raiders within a goal at 3-2 at 9:09 of the third period when he rebounded Dave Thomas' shot and beat Princeton goalie Dave Stathos on his glove-side. Jesse Masear put the Tigers up 3-1 at 16:26 in the second period when he rebounded his own shot and beat Colgate goaltender David Cann. Princeton went ahead 2-1 at 9:28 in the second period when Brad Parsons scored a goal with the Tigers on a two-man advantage. Yedon scored his first goal of the contest at 00:47 in the first period when he took a pass from Dmitry Yashin and jammed the puck past Stathos to even the score at one apiece. David Schneider put Princeton on the board first at 13:10 in the opening period when he rebounded a Parsons' shot and beat Cann to put the Tigers ahead 1-0. Cann stopped 34 shots for Colgate while Stathos had 30 saves for the Tigers. |
