SCORES GAME WINNER TO LEAD MEN'S
HOCKEY PAST YALE, 3-2 Colgate improves to 11-13-1 overall and 8-6-1 in the conference while the Bulldogs fall to 6-14-2 overall and 5-8-2 in league play. With the win, the Raiders avenged an earlier season 5-0 loss to the Bulldogs in New Haven. D'Arco took a pass from Adam Mitchell and jammed the
puck past Yale net minder Dan Lombard for the game winner. Scooter Smith evened the
score at 2-2 when he won the draw, skated by C.J. Nibbe and beat Lombard
with a wrist shot at 7:31 in the third. Colgate senior defenseman Ben Bryce scored a power-play goal at 19 seconds in the second period to tie the contest at 1-1. The Bulldogs got on the board first when Klema redirected an airborne Mutter shot and beat Cann at 11:49 in the first period. Cann stopped 20 shots for the Raiders while Lombard had 20 saves for Yale. |
