HOCKEY HOLDS OFF DARTMOUTH, 3-2
HAMILTON, N.Y.- Colgate used three unanswered goals to give head coach Don Vaughan his 100th career ECAC victory with a 3-2 win over Dartmouth Friday night at Starr Rink. With the win, Colgate improves to 5-11 overall, 3-4 ECAC and Dartmouth falls 7-7-1 overall and 4-3-1 in league action. Sophomore forward Kyle Doyle scored the game winning goal at 10:15 of the third period with the Raiders on the power play. Doyle took a feed from freshman Adam Mitchell and beat Dartmouth goaltender Dan Yacey top shelf. Colgate evened the score 2-2 at 17:39 of the second period when sophomore defenseman Rob Brown picked up the loose puck, and fed it to junior forward Brad D'Arco who one-timed it past Yacey. The Raiders cut the lead 2-1 at 10:45 when Brown started the goal-scoring play from behind his own net. He skated the puck to the blue line, and passed it to junior center Scooter Smith at the red line. Smith passed it to sophomore forward Paul Kelley, who skated into the slot and banged home his second goal of the season. Dartmouth got off to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from
