Quotes from Colgate Head Coach Don Vaughan:
On pulling freshman goaltender David Cann in the first period
"Everybody has a job to do whether you are a freshman or
a senior and we didn't get the performances we needed out of
some of players tonight."
On the team's performance in general:
"I thought we worked harder tonight than we did yesterday
against Niagara. We got some better performances from some
people and I was pleased with the play of Kyle Doyle, Sean
Nolan, Cory Murphy and Etienne Morin."
What does Colgate need to do:
"We just have to get a total team effort and we just
can't let down at any point of the game. We tied the game at
3-3, then less than a minute later we let down and they scored
their fourth goal."
Game Notes:
- Clarkson snapped a four-game losing skid against Colgate
with the 5-3 victory. It was the first win since Mar. 6,
1998 when the the Golden Knights won 6-1 in Potsdam, N.Y.
- Clarkson has dominated neutral-ice games against Colgate
with a 17-3-1 record.
- It's just the sixth time in 26 SIT appearances that
Colgate has been swept in the tournament and first since
1976-77 when they lost to Boston College (9-6) and
Princeton (3-2).
