COLGATE CREW PLACES FIRST AT HEAD OF THE ERIE REGATTA

ROME, N.Y.--The Colgate University men's Varsity 8 finished first out of six teams with a time of 16:37.8 at the Head of the Erie Regatta Sunday afternoon.

Hamilton took second in the event with a time of 16:42.1 while Ithaca came in third with a time of 16:59.7. Colgate Alumni placed fourth with a time of 17:38.6 and the United States Merchant Marine Academy was fifth at 21:26.5. Hamilton's 'B' crew took sixth with a time of 21:41.8.

Colgate returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Stonehurst Capital Regatta in Rochester, N.Y.
