COLGATE CREW RESULTS FROM INTERCOLLEGIATE ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS

CAMDEN, N.J.--The Colgate University men's Varsity 8 placed 21st out of 23 teams at the Intercollegiate Rowing Championships Saturday with a time of 5:50.3.

California won the event with a time of 5:26.81 while Syracuse finished just ahead of the Raiders with a time of 5:49.61 for 20th.

In the men's open four with coxswain, the Raiders finished 13th out of 18 teams. Washington took top honors with a time of 6:17.38. Colgate finished with a time of 6:42.87, good enough for first place in its final heat and ahead of Harvard, Cornell, Michigan, Rochester and Syracuse.
 
The Raiders are off until July 3-7 when they compete at the Henley Regatta in England.
