COLGATE CREW RESULTS FROM AVAYA COLLEGIATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

PRINCETON, N.J.--The Colgate University men's crew Varsity 8 placed third at the Avaya Collegiate Championships Sunday with a time of 6:05.58.

Marist won the event with a time of 5:59.79 while Georgetown came in second with a time of 6:03.24. Mighigan was fourth at 6:07.28 and Ithaca and Orange Coast, a team that had previously beaten the Raiders, closed out the grand final with times of 6:07.68 and 6:10.34 respectively.

In the men's Varsity 4 with Cox, the Raiders placed fourth with a time of 7:01.85. Michigan had a time of 6:56.31 for top honors while UC Irvine and Georgetown were second and third with times of 6:58.11 and 7:00.95. Tufts and Marist closed out the grand final with times of 7:01.96 and 7:04.18.

In the women's Novice 8, the Raiders came in 12th with a time of 7:46.82 as Bates won the event with a time of 7:28.30.

The Raiders race again in the Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships in Camden, N.J. May 30-June 1.
