Ithaca, N.Y. - The Colgate University men's and women's crew teams competed in their second races as an NCAA Division I program on Saturday against Ithaca College and the University of Rochester on the Cayuga Inlet with a strong headwind with chop and slow current.

The women's varsity 8 (2-1) finished the course in 7:58.6 splitting the weekend races defeating U of R (8:19.6), but falling to host Ithaca (7:44.9).

The men's varsity 8 (1-2) posted a 7:00.5 over the course falling to U of R (6:48) and Ithaca (6:50).

Both teams hit the water next Saturday, April 21 against Hobart and William Smith and Skidmore in Geneva, N.Y. at noon.
