HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Colgate Raiders (3-4) will close out their three-game homestand on Friday when they entertain the Harvard Crimson (4-2) at Cotterell Court. Tip-off is 7 p.m. The Raiders will be looking to rebound from their first home loss of the season after losing to Long Island University on Sunday, 78-70. The defeat snapped Colgate’s seven-game home court winning streak. On Tuesday, Harvard won an exciting 85-82 game over Rider College in triple overtime. Senior captain Brady Merchant scored a career-high 25 points and point guard Elliott Prasse-Freeman nailed the game-winning basket. The Crimson set school records for three-pointers (17) and three-point attempts (41). Howard Blue had an 18-point, nine-rebound effort for Colgate against Long Island, extending his double digit scoring to three straight games. Five Colgate players are averaging in double figures led by Blue with 13.8 points per game. Other players in double figures are Andrew Zidar (10.4), Dave Hardy (10.3), Mark Linebaugh (10.3), and Tim Sullivan (10.2). This will be the 15th meeting between Colgate and Harvard with the Raiders leading the series, 11-3. Colgate has a four-game winning streak against the Crimson including a 76-64 decision at Cambridge last season.
