COLGATE CLOSES OUT ITS REGULAR SEASON WITH A PAIR OF ROAD GAMES HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Colgate Raiders (12-13, PL 7-5) will close out their regular season this weekend with a two-game road trip to Pennsylvania. On Friday night, the Raiders will visit second place Lehigh University (16-9, PL 8-4) for a 7:30 game at Stabler Arena, before travelling to Bucknell University on Sunday for a 3:15 tip-off. Colgate comes into Friday night’s game tied with Bucknell and American for third place in the Patriot League standings, one-game behind Lehigh. The Raiders can finish anywhere from second seed to the sixth seed for the upcoming Patriot League Tournament, March 8-9, at the Upper Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Colgate comes into the Lehigh game with a three-game winning streak after posting victories over Army, Navy and American. The victory over American was the first for the Raiders since the Eagles joined the Patriot League. This is the 58th meeting between Colgate and Lehigh with the Raiders leading the overall series, 38-19. Colgate has a two-game winning streak against the Mountain Hawks including a 77-68 decision earlier this season at Cotterell Court. |
