HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Colgate University basketball team (15-10 overall, 6-6 Patriot League) plays its final Patriot League road game Wednesday night, when the Raiders travel to West Point to face the Cadets of Army (11-14, 5-7). Tip-off is 7:30 at Christl Arena.

The Raiders had a three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday in Lewisburg, Penn. with the Bucknell Bison taking a 68-57 decision. The loss dropped Colgate into fifth place in the Patriot League standings, one game ahead of Army and Navy, who are tied for sixth place. The Raiders are one game out of third place with two games remaining in the regular season.

The Patriot League Tournament is scheduled to get underway on March 2-3 at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The winner of the Patriot League Championship on March 8 will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

This is the 90th meeting between Colgate and Army with the Cadets leading the overall series, 48-41. Colgate, however, has won the last four outings and 11 of the last 13 games played between these Patriot League rivals. Earlier this season, Colgate defeated Army 82-72 at Cotterell Court. Last season, Colgate won on the Cadets’ home floor, 79-59.

Senior Pat Campolieta, the first player in school history to rank in the Top 10 in career scoring (1,572), rebounding (666), assists (238) and steals (184), continues to lead Colgate in scoring and rebounding. He is averaging 14.8 points per game and 6.8 caroms per outing, which is good for fourth place in Patriot League scoring and second in rebounding.

Campolieta is currently fifth in career scoring and eighth in rebounding for the Raiders. He needs 20 points to move into fourth place in scoring.

Sophomore Mark Linebaugh, one of the hottest scorers in the league over the past two weeks, is second in scoring with 13.4 points. He has been in double figures in 10 straight games. Howard Blue is third with 10.9 points per game, followed by Tim Sullivan with 8.3 ppg and Dave Hardy 8.2 ppg.
