(Complete Release In PDF Format)

HAMILTON, N.Y. - The Colgate University basketball team (14-9 overall, 5-5 Patriot League) will embark upon a three-game road swing on Wednesday night, when the Raiders travel to Annapolis, Maryland for a Patriot League showdown with the Midshipmen of Navy (10-15, 5-5).  Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. at Alumni Hall.

Following the Navy clash, Colgate will travel to Bucknell and Army before returning home for the regular season finale against Lafayette.

The Raiders have won five of their last six games including a dramatic 58-55 win over Holy Cross on Saturday to complete a season-sweep over the Crusaders.  Colgate is currently tied for fifth place with Navy in the Patriot League standings just two games behind first place American University.

Navy snapped a three-game skid on Saturday with a 66-61 win over Lehigh.

This is the 30th meeting between Colgate and Navy with the Midshipmen leading the overall series, 19-10.  Earlier this season, the Mids defeated the Raiders, 95-93 in overtime, at Cotterell Court.  Navy has won 11 straight against Colgate including five straight at Alumni Hall.

Sophomore Mark Linebaugh, who has a career-best 309 points this season, has been Colgate’s leading scorer in the last five outings.  During the stretch he is averaging 19.6 points per game while shooting .592 percent from the field and 46 percent from behind the arc.  Linebaugh is currently 8th in Patriot League scoring with 13.4 points per game and needs nine points to reach 600 in his career.

Senior Pat Campolieta, the first player in school history to rank in the Top 10 in career scoring (1,548), rebounding (655), assists (230) and steals (177), continues to lead Colgate in scoring and rebounding.  He is averaging 15.0 points per game and 6.9 caroms per outing, which is good for fourth place in Patriot League scoring and second in rebounding.

Campolieta is currently fifth in career scoring and eighth in rebounding for the Raiders.

Linebaugh is second in scoring, while Howard Blue is third with 10.8 points per game.  Tim Sullivan is averaging 8.6 ppg and Dave Hardy 8.1 ppg.

Jehiel Lewis is Navy’s leading scorer with 12.7 points per game followed closely by Jason Jeanpierre with 11.1.  They are followed in the scoring column by Francis Ebong (9.7).  The Mids’ leading rebounder is Ebong with 6.8 caroms per outing.
