HAMILTON, N.Y.— Freshman Keith Williams hit a three pointer from the corner with five seconds remaining to lift Colgate to a 58-55 win over Holy Cross Saturday in a Patriot League contest.

      Holy Cross (12-13, 6-4) had an opportunity with four seconds left to regain the lead, but the inbounds pass was deflected by Pat Campolieta and intercepted by Colgate’s Mark Linebaugh, who was immediately fouled by Pat Whearty.  Linebaugh hit both free throw attempts to ice the game.  He led the Raiders (14-9, 5-5) with 19 points.

      Martin Marek scored all 13 of his points in the first half and grabbed five rebounds for Colgate.  Tim Szatko led the Crusaders with 17 points and nine rebounds.

      Ryan Serravalle added 12 points for Holy Cross, who outrebounded the Raiders, 33-22, but committed 14 turnovers to Colgate’s nine.
