Lehigh Rallies For A 79-74
Win Over Colgate; Mountain Hawks Scored Final 13 Points
BETHLEHEM, PA – Matt Logie scored 23 points and Alex Jensen added 20 to lead the Lehigh men’s basketball team to a 79-74 come-from-behind Patriot League win over Colgate Saturday night at Stabler Arena. Lehigh (4-11, PL 1-1) scored the final 13 points of the contest after Colgate had taken a 74-66 lead with 4:07 remaining on a pair of free throws by Pat Campolieta. Logie led the rally with nine points, including six-of-six from the charity stripe, and Jensen added four points. Lehigh led at halftime 41-36 but Colgate started the second half with a 24-8 run for a 60-49 advantage with 13:22 remaining. The Raiders still led by 11 points, 67-56, with 10:22 left but the Mountain Hawks closed the game outscoring Colgate 23-7. Howard Blue led Colgate with a career-high 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Campolieta finished with 23 points and Mark Linebaugh netted 11. With his 23-point effort, Campolieta has moved into sixth place on Colgate's all-time scoring list with 1,417 points. With the victory, Lehigh snapped a three-game losing streak, while the Raiders had their losing streak extended to three consecutive setbacks. The Raiders will travel to Holy Cross on Wednesday. |
