HAMILTON, N.Y. – Pat Campolieta scored a team-high 19 points and Dave Hardy added 15 including a key steal in overtime to lift Colgate to an 83-76 win over Ithaca College Thursday night at Cotterell Court.

The Red Raiders(2-3) snapped a three-game losing streak, while Ithaca (1-2) dropped its second straight contest.  Other players in double figures for Colgate were Mark Linebaugh with a career-high 13, Tim Sullivan with 11 and Martin Marek with 10.

Ithaca was paced by John Lyons with 27 points followed by Matt Miller with 16 and Matt Riggins with 15.

Lyons’ 3-point jumper with three seconds remaining in regulation sent the contest into overtime with the score tied 73-73.  In the overtime session, Miller immediately put the Bombers ahead 76-73 with his fourth 3-pointer to give Ithaca only its second lead of the game.  But that would be the end of Ithaca’s scoring as the Red Raiders tallied the last 10 points for their 14 victory in 16 games against the Bombers.

Colgate’s overtime run was paced by Campolieta with four free throws and Hardy with a pair of baskets.

The Red Raiders led 40-36 at halftime and extended their advantage to 15 points, 60-45, with 12:11 remaining before Ithaca rallied to tie the contest.

The Red Raiders were hurt at the foul line where they made only 23-of-44 attempts, while Ithaca was 11-of-19 from the charity stripe.  Ithaca outrebounded Colgate 43-42.  Marek was Colgate’s leading rebounder with seven.
