FIRST TEAM ALL-PATRIOT LEAGUE

Linebaugh On All-Rookie Team
HAMILTON, N.Y. – Colgate University junior
forward Pat Campolieta has been named first team all-Patriot
League in men’s basketball for the second straight season in
a vote of the league coaches, while teammate Mark Linebaugh
was selected as the league’s Rookie of the Year.
Colgate freshman Howard Blue joins Linebaugh on the
all-rookie team.
Campolieta has been honored for the third straight
season. In his rookie season, he was Rookie of the Year and second
team all-league. He
has started 81 straight games for the Red Raiders, while
scoring 1,195 career points and grabbing 490 rebounds.
He is Colgate’s leading scorer with 14.7 points per
game (fifth in the league) and top rebounder with 6.0 caroms
per game (sixth in the league).
Campolieta has been in double figures in 25-of-27 games
and has recorded three double-doubles.
He is shooting .488 from the floor, which is the
seventh best percentage in the league.
He is also sixth in steals with 1.56 per game.
Linebaugh is the third Colgate player to earn Rookie of
the Year honors in the 10-year history of the league - joining
Adonal Foyle (1995) and Campolieta (1999).
He was named the league’s Rookie of the Week four
times this season while finishing first among first-year
players in league scoring with 9.9 points per game and 16th
overall. Linebaugh is Colgate’s top free throw shooter making .882
percent of his attempts and ranks third in the league and 15th
nationally. His
free throw percentage is the second highest ever by a Colgate
player.
Linebaugh has been in double figures 14 times including
a current streak of six games in a row.
He scored over 20 points twice with 27 against Lehigh
and 23 vs. Navy. He
is second on the team in 3-pointers made with 28.
Blue earned Rookie of the Week three times, while
averaging 9.7 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per outing.
He was the second leading scorer among the first-year
players and 17th overall.
He is eighth in the league in rebounding.
Blue scored in double figures 11 times and posted three
double-doubles for the Red Raiders.
He is shooting .459 from the field (10th in league) and
.759 from the charity stripe (13th in league).
Other first team selections were Bryan Bailey (Bucknell),
Josh Sankes (Holy Cross), Tim Szatko (Holy Cross) and Chris
Williams (Navy). Second
team selections were Chris Spatola (Army), Tyson Whitfield
(Lafayette), Frank Barr (Lafayette), Tim Bieg (Lafayette) and
Matt Logie (Lehigh).
Joining Linebaugh and Blue on the all-rookie team were
J.P. Spatola (Army), Jave Meade (Holy Cross) and Alex Jensen
(Lehigh).
Szatko was named the Player of the Year, while Holy
Cross’ Ralph Willard received Coach of the Year.
