SULLIVAN LEADS
COLGATE OVER ARMY, 84-68, IN PATRIOT LEAGUE GAME

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Sophomore Tim Sullivan scored 21
points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Colgate to an 84-68
Patriot League win over Army Wednesday night at Cotterell
Court.
Colgate (11-11 overall, 5-3 Patriot League) moves into
sole possession of third place in the Patriot League with the
victory. The Red
Raiders have won nine of their 11 home games this season.
Other Colgate players in double figures were Mark
Linebaugh with 11 points, and Pat Campolieta and Dave Hardy
with 10 apiece.
Chris Spatola with 18 points and Dax Pearson with 17
paced Army (6-15, 1-6).
The score was tied 11-11 with 14:59 remaining in the
first half, before Campolieta’s layup put the Red Raiders
ahead for good. The
Red Raiders were leading 27-21 later in the half, before
outscoring the Cadets, 20-6, for a 47-26 halftime lead.
Sullivan led the surge with eight points.
In the second half, Colgate increased its lead to 26
points on four occasions before both teams empty the benches.
Colgate outrebounded the Cadets 43-35 lead by Robert
Akers with eight and Howard Blue with six.
Hardy had seven assists for the Red Raiders to bring
his season total to 88 giving him the 17th best
effort in school history.
