FLORIDA A&M RALLIES FOR 87-80 WIN OVER RED RAIDERS

TALLAHASSEE, FL. – Nicholaus Ross scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lift Florida A&M to a come-from-behind 87-80 win over Colgate Saturday night in the consolation game of the Capital City Classic.

Colgate (6-6) drops its second straight game after putting together a three-game winning streak.  Florida A&M is 3-8.

The Rattlers had five other players in double figures including Demarcus Wilkins with 12 points and 12 rebounds, Jason Miles with 17, Jermaine Hill 12 and Michael Shipp and Abdelkhadre Cisse with 10 apiece.

Tim Sullivan led Colgate with a career-high equalling of 18 points, while Dave Hardy and Mark Linebaugh tallied 12 each, and Howard Blue, LaMarr Datcher and Pat Campolieta added 10 apiece.

he Red Raiders held a 20-point lead in the first half, 24-4, before Florida A&M cut the margin to four points at halftime, 36-32.

In the second half, Colgate maintained its lead until the Rattlers tied the contest, 59-59, with 9:42 remaining.  The Red Raiders went back in front holding a 69-65 lead with 6:11 left, but Florida A&M scored 15 of the next 17 points to take charge of the game.
