Final Results of the Cornell/Colgate Golf Invitational
Binghamton claims top
team and individual honors

HAMILTON, N.Y. - For
the second consecutive year, the Binghamton University golf team won the
Cornell/Colgate Golf Invitational Sunday. The Bearcats accumulated a
two-day total of 601, which was 23 strokes ahead of the second place team,
St. Bonaventure. Colgate finished third for the second year in a row and
was followed by Ottawa, Bucknell, Duquesne, Rider, St. Francis, Monmouth
and Fordham in the Top-10.
Individually, Binghamton's Hal Berman shot a two-day total of 146 to claim
top honors. Following Berman was Frank Tanquay of Otttawa with a 148.
There was a three-way tie for third between Adam Singer of Binghamton,
Jeff Tracy of St. Bonaventure and Colgate's Josh Polsinelli with scores of
151.
Rounding out the Top-10 individual finishers with a five-way tie for sixth
was Peter Jenkins of Fordham, Bob Whartenby of Rider, Jay Lindell of St.
Bonaventure, Steve Hale of Duquesne and Neil Reidy of Le Moyne with scores
of 152.
Colgate's Dan Capucci was
tied for 18th with a two-day total of 155 and Andrew Calcutt was tied for
31st with a 160. Sean Cusick shot a 161 for a share of 40th.
