COLGATE GOLF PLACES 10th AT NAVY INVITATIONAL

ANNAPOLIS, Md.-The Colgate golf team placed 10th out of 20 teams at the Navy Invitational Sunday with a combined score of 650 at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club. 

Minnesota won the two-day event with a team score of 605 and Simon Nash and David Morgan of Minnesota tied for top honors with 150s. 

Colgate junior Jesse Smith (Northfield, Mass.) paved the way for the Raiders  with a two-day total of 157 for a share of 16th. He stood in third place after Saturday's opening round.

Senior captain Dan Cappucci (Lincoln, Mass.) tied for 30th with a 161 and sophomore Ben Selberg (Englewood, Colo.) came in a tie for 42nd with a 164. Sophomore Josh Polsinelli (Kansas City, Mo.) was in a tie for 66th with a 169 while sophomore Sean Cusick (Westwood, Mass.) tied for 83rd with a total of 173.

The Raiders will compete in the Princeton Invitational on April 12-13 at Springdale Golf Club, Princeton, N.J.
